March 18, 2010 at 6:35 AM适合 (shìhé) is a verb, and is often followed by a noun, as in: 不适合你 (bù shìhé nǐ), "it doesn't suit you."
合适 (héshì) is an adjective so cannot be followed by a noun, as in: 不合适 (bù héshì), "it's not suitable."
