Another deeper word for "to know" or "to understand" is 了解 (liao3 jie3). Listen to "Love Letter" on intermediate lesson and John has simple explanation on 了解.

Thanks for the lesson. I hope there'd be an intermediate lesson about medicine and hospital, like an extended dialogue of an old patient being diagnosed with a fatal illness and patient's family asking the doctor not to tell the patient (this culture is very Asian I know). Thanks.

Yeah, it was "Memories" -- I'd prefer "Broken Vow" by Josh Groban. More contemporary. 开玩笑!

Just want to commend the writer of this episode. It does make one's heart heavy, the mocha especially -- they started with it, and it was mentioned in the end too. Kind of a vaguely poetic. I'm just not too sure about the background music though.

Hmm, 照片帅 is in the dialogue. I'm guessing it shouldn't be one word.

照片帅 Is this one word? Like an idiom for good-looking (picture handsome or picture perfect)? Thanks

I think I figured it out. SimSun on characters and probably Arial on pinyin.

Hi Cpod, May I know what font do you use on your pdf (especially for the pinyin)? Thanks

Can we say 病毛 (bing4 mao2) for serious disease instead of 严重 (yan2 zhong4) ?

Hi all, what is the preferred term for dry cough, is it 干燥 or 干咳? Hi user27019, I think you're correct in saying that flu is more serious than cold but ordinary folks sometimes interchange these. Just to add another term, 流鼻涕is used for runny nose or coryza. And of course bird flu is 禽流感.
