I did not find her voice annoying at all...and if she's the girl in the picture, well, she can speak anyway she likes :)

A bit dated obviously, but a useful lesson.

It seems the text dialog is missing under the dialog tab though?

Fantastic lesson. Super useful vocab and I got as much practice from Jenny using Chinese to explain as from the dialog itself. This dialog is long too, making for juicy listening practice.

I found this lesson a bit too difficult for me, so I will come back to it in the future. I love hearing a male chinese voice on this program, something that I think is lacking. These guys make a good team. Ryan does not sound English!

Wow, this is one of the best lessons ever! Such great vocab and so much useful Chinese spoken in the dialog and on the side. Absolutely fantastic episode!!

Fantastically useful lesson, presented with great skill and the perfect ratio of Chinese/English for the level.

For me this is not a useful lesson at all. In my opinion 1) Its an Englishathon - you don't feel you're involved in Chinese learning at all, just hosts speaking in English about Chinese. This would be a great Englishpod lesson. If you look at the older elementary lessons, they are not this English talky, you can focus on the Chinese. Honestly, do we really need two hosts both chatting on and on in English? Maybe the hosts could spend some time and think about some of the elementary level things they say in English but could've used chinese.

2) The vocab and structures here are not elementary level, especially the vocab. It feels like intermediate or pre-intermediate content.

I like the topic, but why not make either an elementary lesson with easier covid19 vocab or an Intermediate lesson with less English and only one host speaking English.

*Incidentally, I think it is a poor idea to compare words with the same pinyin spelling but different tones(nan2 / nan4). They should be viewed as having nothing in common, otherwise it just leads to confusion. By elementary level, students understand the tones. Just let us absorb and remember to combined sound of the syllable nan4.

Thanks for all the overall great Chinsepod content, but this episode is a fail for me.

My first intermediate lesson. I think I'm really going to make some progress as I go through there. Higher level vocab, more chinese spoken, longer sentences, faster, more natural flow from the hosts. Here we go 119 more of these! 加油

Yes, I'm only referring to this particular episode. I love Chinesepod. Thanks for thousands of great podcasts, one of the best Chinese language resources available.
