Who says English is everyone's first language here? We're not here to learn or practice English.

"One thing that can be improved is that Jenny should try to avoid using English, and the English host can translate for her when necessary."

Exactly. Agree 100 Percent.

At intermediate level there is no need for two people to be conversing in English for the majority of the lesson,

Also, what about some male voices? Sure, I like watching women better, but I think there should be more males to model pronunciation for us males to repeat rather than always repeating a woman voice.

I'm only Elementary level and have only been studying around 6 months. BUT, I will be very disappointed if I get to intermediate and have to listen to THAT MUCH ENGLISH! I really get the feeling you guys (and especially the older host in the new Upper-intermediate video) are way more interested in having us hear you speak English than us learning Chinese. Thats not the environment for language learning imo, especially Intermediate+ levels. Of all the Chinese hosts that I've heard on C-pod, I think Fiona is the one that seems to really, genuinely want the learner to learn Chinese and is not "showing off" her English. I mean in this video even the whole intro "Hi everyone, today we're talking about...do you remember when I had my first job..." Blah, then the entire last ending farewells and goodbyes and everything in English, really??  Maybe thats for marketing purposes, but I'd think a newbie would check out newbie example videos anyway. I'd be insulted if I was at an intermediate level.
