I really like the new PDF's. Makes it much easier to see the different sections, and you can easily see the characters, and look up the English if need be. Before at upper levels, the English font was so big that it would take up half the page.  Now we can save paper and save the planet :)

Like Podster says, the difference between 公有 and 公共 are rather nuanced. One means publicly owned, and the other means for public use, so perhaps something being publicly owned is a rather strange concept for some people...

搭 is an HSK6 word which refers to taking a train or boat. It is a rather advanced word, and possible not in this persons idiolect. 坐 also makes sense and probably much more common, but then we wouldn't really improve our Chinese if we just used HSK1 words all the time.

Hey ahmadaya100, you can download a Google Chrome extension to automatically convert traditional characters into simplified if you struggle to read them. Here is the link: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/new-tong-wen-tang/ldmgbgaoglmaiblpnphffibpbfchjaeg

I guess she's doing this to clearly differentiate the two noises. I think you're hearing a shi because she smiles when she does it :) For me it was pretty clear, especially with the added benefit of having all the visual cues on the video format. I agree with podster, I hope there are more like this for the Qing Wen's.

The example sentences are in the expansion tab: https://chinesepod.com/lessons/the-important-difference-between-%E9%9C%80-xu-and-%E9%A1%BB-xu#expansion-tab

If you want to learn how to get them as a printable format, they made a nice video on doing that here: https://cpod.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203689520-How-to-Print-Lesson-Notes
