Lessons presentation on Dashboard

1- There should be a way to shuffle the lessons randomly. When I joined CPod, I went and added lessons by theme or lesson group already made. Therefore, I have like 100 Qingwen in a row, then all Elementary about food, etc... I know I can use the drop-down to look up lessons by group but it still shows me the same oldest or newest lessons in each group. I would love to be able to just shuffle them around and see what comes up. That would be a huge add-on value.
2- When you choose to show newest, the new lessons always appear in the bottom of the dahboard, which is not logical. They should be on the top as with any Descending sorting... this is how our eye is used to looking at newest stuff from using Outlook, Access, Excel, etc... That way, I would always notice the new lessons that appear right away, and not have to scroll down the page everytime to see if something new had come up.

Anyone else would like to shuffle their lessons to have them randomly showing on your dashboard?? Please write it here if that's the case... I guess I am the only one who ever mentionned that??! :-(

Well then I would love to shuffle cuz my lessons are all in batches and always see the same ones on my home page and even using the filter, it shows always the same ones for each categories. As I study them a new one pops up or when you add new stuff, but I would really like to shuffle once in a while and get surprised. Thanks.

First off, thanks for the shuffle suggestion. Don't know if I've heard that one before. It's an interesting one, and worth exploring further.
As for the ordering of lessons in the dashboard: there is a reason behind this. John has described it in detail here.
Here's the 30-second version:
You have the choice of viewing the first 10 lessons or the last 10 lessons in your list. Please note that this is NOT reversing the order of your list. The dashboard doesn't do that. Keeping the lesson list in chronological order helps students complete lessons in a linear fashion.

Thank you bodawei... I thought I was alone here. I really think you guys should do some kind of a Excel/Access filter with different options and let US, the users, decide how we want things to appear on our own dashboard. It is so dumb but I HATE that when I go to HOME, I have to scroll down to see if a new lesson has appeared... plus it drives me nuts that the first lesson appears open, taking a lot of space. These are small details, but I should be my own master on how I want things to appear there. Plus, it does not remember my filter, so everytime I go back, I have to refilter by group. It always shows my newest/oldest lessons.... which is a batch of Qing Wens that I added recently... but I don't want to be doing only QIngWens all the time....!!!!!!!!

You might like (or not) to review the extended discussion between John and myself on the subject of giving the poddie some control over the lessons in the lesson list. (Rather than just linking to his post?) The idea of shuffling lessons is not new. Just not progressed.
'Helps students complete lessons in a linear fashion'. Just to make the position perfectly clear - this does not suit all students. Furthermore, the current design not only assumes a linear progression, but it assumes a certain pace. This suits even fewer students. Is anyone there listening?
To quote John: 'I think I understand what you're not clear on.'
