September 12, 2007 at 05:37 AM posted in General DiscussionI love c-pod but find myself jumping around so much I'm having trouble remembering anything. Does anyone have any good suggestions as how one might structure time with c-pod to have things really sink in??? Maybe my memory is just fading (yikes)

Kyle- www.chinesepod.com/random-lesson is great. Pulls out random lessons to review. For me, the reviews go relatively quickly and helps to 'sink things in'.

Perhaps some of the best advice for learners can be found here: http://www.chinese-forums.com/showthread.php?t=5204
Also, being a huge fan of Mr. Darwin, I believe it all comes down to using it or losing it. Practice, practice, practice.

Dear M2T...thanks for the reply. How do I go about finding these other threads...I am so "blog-ill-logically impaired. Do you live in Shanghai as well??? Pilates is a great way to get into or stay in shape. I love it!

太好了! Have a great trip to China.
Sure wish I could take some of your classes and you could Pilate me into better shape:)
As to your question, I ask another. What's your learning style?
For me, a kinesthetic learner, I use Cpod to hear and see Chinese which is very helpful, but I have to have experiences hearing and using the words in conversation (and writing characters helps me too) before I am somewhat confident that the new learning has become part of my actual working language.
The are some threads on the Cpod forum that have a similar topic of conversation.

September 12, 2007 at 05:59 PMJust to mention that when I do random lesson to review, I just listen to the dialog file rather than the full lesson. That saves at least 10 minutes. Then I go through the expansion sentences.
