can anybody help me? I am looking for a word in Chinese for the "process" (it is sort of "editing") which was done with folksongs and -stories in China in the 1920/30: they were "editied"/"sytematized"/"changed slightly" in order to give this new versions back to the people and make them "knew" unconsciounsly of the "modern"/"Maoist" world.
thanks for any suggenstions!,
best, rabe

Hi rabe
How about these words that are still loved by authorities in modern China?
窜改 (cuan4gai3) alter, tamper, falsify
篡改 (cuan4gai3) distort, falsify
删改 (shan1gai3) correct, revise

@rabe, 重新收集编辑民歌和民间故事,(chóngxīn shōují biānjí míngē hé mínjiān gùshi) I'm afraid there is no such one word to say "editied"/"sytematized"/"changed slightly", that is 重新收集编辑 (three words put together), chóngxīn shōují biānjí
Literally, 重新, over again; 收集, to collect; 编辑, to process, to edit
Really, are you working on this? I'm interested in folksongs and -stories in early 19 century. If there is further information about this new version, do let me know! 谢了!
