is anyone aware of troubles with the Chinesepod search engine? I have been trying to find other lessons around monks, such as buddhism and taoism and it comes up with nothing. I know this is wrong because there are at least two elementary lessons with monks in them. Any insight?

hape,
you are correct. The search function is obviously out of order - including, by the way, the Glossary search.

henning, sorry, but your tip does not work. The search engine is broken.

Just try "toilet" (there are so many toilet topic lessons). No results!

And: the glossary will not show up any example sentences.

But:

B0487 - The Clogged Toilet
A1134 - Toilet Types

Google is your good friend.

Aha! That's handy, Henning. Thanks.

stevegeerling,

it works OK if you activate "Expand search" and select all the checkboxes. For some secret reason "Lesson Dialogue & Vocabulary" and "Lesson Introduction" are de-selected in the default search.

I think that I read somewhere that there are plans afoot to improve the search function. In the meantime, it's possible to use Google advanced search, and to restrict the search to the chinesepod.com domain. You'll find monks aplenty by doing this: link.

I know - it is rubbish.

For some reason there seems to be complacency at Chinesepod that it is ok
