Virtual classroom - anyone else find the sound problematic?

April 02, 2015 at 12:06 PM posted in General DiscussionI've been trying out lessons with various teachers in the "virtual classroom".
I was a little surprised to see (courtesy of the new video link format) that the teachers were just using a standard pair of Apple type in-ear bud headphones with the small microphone that hangs inline from the cable about chest height, rather than a typical tele-operator headset with microphone on a boom at mouth height.
I have found the sound quality quite problematic on a number of the classes I've had, which I think is down to this (although it could be Skype I don't think it is). I have mentioned this to CP who were quite responsive, but said I was the only person to have had this issue and mentioned it.
So, I wondered has anyone else had this same problem? If so please let me know. Or if you've found it fine I'd also be interested.

April 14, 2015 at 12:28 PMJust had another lesson and CP had issued this tutor with a proper headset with microphone. Crystal clear sound. Much better. Well done CP on the quick corrective action. Hope you will be giving these headsets to all your tutors.
