I'm Johnson,a person who's dedicated into language learning for years. I am a qualified mechanician in a state-owned enterprise, and during the leisure time,I'd love to be a language exchanger,it's a thing of reciprocity as you know.
In my point of view,as far as Chinese learning is concerned, intensive learning is more effective than sporadic gleaning. If someone is interested in looking for a language partner as well, you may want to hear my plan:
Speaking section:
1.Via the Skype or face-to-face,we do a 30-minute Chinese and a 30-minute English talk,we'll stick to one topic one time,(to guarantee the effectiveness of practising,go-off-the-topic is prohibited. We may choose a topic in advance.)
2 I figure a daily-based practise is preferrable ,and if either one of us is busy at work or study,we can also do it every two days or three days, but as you know, the more the better.
Reading section:
1. Each one picks one article himself/herself beforehand, read it to the other person who will pay close attention to his/her pronunciation, pause, intonation, etc.
The other person will point out where he/she can work on to improve.
2.Ask anything about the article, like usages of words, phrases or sentences that just you don't understand.
The other person will explain them at great lengths.
3.This also can be done on a daily-basis or rearrange the schedule and times depend on real conditions.
Writing section:
1.Each exchanger will write 2 or 3 compositions or diaries related to one theme in his/her non-native language each week, for the other person to check and point out the places need improving.(Grammar, spelling,a shade of meaning, etc.)
2 This also can be done on a daily-basis or rearrange the schedule and times depend on real conditions.
Yours,Johnson.
Please let me know if you're interested.
