Transfer Lessons To iPhone

Now for each lesson I have to download each lesson component seperately on hte iphone over my wireless internet connection. This is slow and no good if I dont have a connection.

 

Is there a way to transfer lessons to the phone using itunes when I connect the iphone to my computer?

Hey guys. For on the go travel with the iphone if you download the audio it has the transcript available built into the media track. Simply put download the lesson or the dialogue or the expansion put it on your iphone and press play and you can see the transcript on the screen of your iphone. I do most of my practising like this because once its on your iphone its so easy to access it.

Its amazing.

The elementary dialogues and the intermdiate ones i know just about all have this. The lessons themselves sometimes only have hanzi. But the dialogue tracks elementary and intermediate and im presuming the rest have hanzi pinyin and english.

Love this feature. And with ios 7 you can actually copy and paste from the screen of the media file. So amazing.

Is an internet connection needed to use Chinesepod?  For example, can it be used on an airplane?

This was a horrible bug in the old applicaton: if you tried to refresh without an Internet connection it would wipe out your table of contents and render the app useless.  If you are using the current version of the app you should not have this problem.  By the way, this is a separate app, not an upgrade, so you have to search it out and install it.  You won't be prompted to upgrade the old one.

I dont' think you can use iTunes to populate the app's library, but you can download all of the podcasts via iTunes if you just want to listen to them. 

You may get a more useful reply from the CPod team when they get back from holiday next week.

OK so I download several lessons and closed the application. When I opened the application again I did not have the lessons that I previosly downloaded!!!

Are you kiddig me! I have to have an internet connection to use this app. So that means no studting on the airplane as I travel!!!!!

 

This cant be correct!!! Did I just waste my money??? Please help me understand this application
