Placement Test broken?

December 15, 2010 at 07:21 AM posted in General DiscussionHi,
my result in the 75-question placement test is now always "0". No wonder, given that the correction is based on questions much different than those I answer and that all my fill-in-texts is completly forgotten.
I suspect a hiccup in my data that results from a page reload on Sunday (incl. resending the POST data) after I accidentelly hit the "Finish" button too early.

Hi henning, are you able to retake the placement test? Which internet browser are you using to take the placement test? I see that there is only one placement test taken from your placement test history, the two tests taken on Dec 16th were taken by me to troubleshoot your placement test problem. I would recommend using Firefox to take the placement test to see if you experience the same problem.

Peterning,
yes, I know - I started taking the Placement Test regularly (twice a week) for purposes of exercise.
My problem is that since Sunday the correction of my answers is based on a different test than the one I took. This is why I fell from Upper Intermediate/Advanced (80%-95%) to "0 points - Newbie". Obviously there is a bug in my data set. It is a bug.

Hi henning, the questions from the placement test are randomly generated from our ChinesePod database. The questions are randomized when you refresh the page. I would recommend retaking the placement test to determine your Chinese level.
