Editing messes up our comments.

Hi guys, do you still remember this issue? I find it irritating, when I post a comment (not a Reply to someone in a sub-thread) in a discussion then find a correction I want to make, that when I go into Edit the text gets messed up in ways such as:

1) many (not all) spaces between words get eliminated.

2) color coding gets neutered (sorry, I don't know the correct technical term).

3) line breaks get neutered.

This is why I don't bother with Edit. I copy the comment, Delete, then re-post with corrections. It shouldn't have to be that way though. It's probably irritating for other poddies, to see a comment appear and disappear then reappear. I wish it would get fixed, and think I recall John saying it would be, way back, early this year. May we have an update please.
