琅玡是地名，中国曾有两个地方设为琅玡郡，影片的历史背景为梁国，加上皇室都姓萧，可以推断该剧的时代为南北朝时期的萧梁时代，又加上主角来自江左，也就是现在长江下游，安徽南部、江苏、上海这些地方，所以应该指的是安徽省滁州市的琅玡山一带。

As well as this the protagonist comes from Jiangzuo, which is now the lower reaches of the Yangtze, around the south of Anhui, Jiangsu and Shanghai, so it likely refers to the area around Langya mountain in the city of Chuzhou in Anhui province.
