April 4, 2011 at 7:58 AMSo sorry to hear you're leaving Jason, but really glad we got to hear the news before you left. Hooray for News and Features!
Just wanted to say thanks for all your hard work - I've always really enjoyed your contributions, and your humour and patience have made a real difference to those of us that are somewhat slow on the uptake :)

March 31, 2011 at 9:01 AMThere's a fun lesson that includes a few measure words for parts of the body! (or at least, a frog's body...)

March 29, 2011 at 9:28 AMIs there a qing wen on the difference between "can't" and "won't" = e.g. 我睡不着 and 我不睡着 ? Or is the difference just that simple? I found a qing wen on the difference between 能 and 会 which has some of the "can" stuff... but?

March 28, 2011 at 7:40 AMI think it's definitely down to level. I get none of the interviews without the help from Jason's translations...

March 23, 2011 at 9:44 PMI think it's just normal. My girlfriend frequently calls waitresses not with the standard 服务员儿 but instead with 美女, which is apparently much more flattering, despite my queries about calling some random girl "pretty woman", lol.
Pure flattery though. I was called 帅哥 plenty of times, and there's no way, haha.

April 4, 2011 at 8:40 AMOh, and I was really pleased to get the newsletter in my email too - what a nice surprise, with David's great narration of the poem included. I was listening to it, and my girlfriend started saying it along with him - apparently one of her favourites! Big thumbs up from me. (although that's probably not that surprising :) ).
