Hmm Dialogue expansion and vocab are still broken. Don't know if my email about it got though as that form doesn't send delivery receipts.

Okey this is making my head explode!

Can you really use meitian as the adjective "everyday"? This seems to be done quite often though the site (a quick search of the glossary shows this)

I was sure meitian was only for the adverbial phrase "every day"

 还可以每天地铁上班
(It’s OK. I take the subway to work everyday.)

For instance this should deffinatly be "I take the subway to work every day."

Nope not an employee of Chinesepod. If they want to hire me that would be awsome. I'm in yunnan a long way away. As a computer geek living behind the great firewall a VPN is a nesesity (it's just the easiest most reliable and most trouble free way of doing it) Also it's often faster to access sites outside of china through the vpn than it is for me to access them directly. I sufer much less packet loss (packetloss here probably averages at least 5% for me which is extreamly high) through my vpn as well.

Access though my vpn was flakey and their authentification system was badly broken giving error 500 internal server errors, no route to host. A bit of trickery let me login though.

henrysmommy: Your husband could well be right. In some bars here in China (i've only seen them here and once in Taiwan) there is a "vomit trough" with a vomit here sign (in English sometimes but mostly just chinese) some of these seem to have actually been designed for the purpose being about knee hight with a toilet style flush action that cleans the side off and a squirt gun on a hose for that final bit of polish.

Yeah well we're back up in china as well. I did have some weird problems though my vpn (in the US) but seemed to be working. China was a complete blackout and I got the dreaded "connection reset" which is pretty much code here for "we think you're trying to subvert the state you reactionary slave of the imperialist running dog!"

Sorry for the offtopic but... Anyone accessing from China atm? For the last 4 hours at least it hasn't been accessable in YunNan. Will not be funny if it's been blocked! Thankgod for VPN.

Due to my wifes sense of frugalness I am forbidden from buying her anything Valentines related (this includes taking her out to dinner) We celebrate the offical day after Valentines Day also know as Roses are insanley cheap day. From my memory of last year I should be able to do the 999 rose's for about 300rmb (note I live in yunnan where they typically cost about 0.8rmb per rose)

The expansion for 经常一边散步一边太极拳?
(Do you often watch people practice tai chi while taking a walk?) has broken audio.

My first introduction to Lei Feng was being told about him by a student. Unfortunatly after enthusticaly telling me his story my student finished by telling how he died "and then he was run over by a truck" was a very unexpected end and I let out a laugh. I thought he would have died in some heroic act helping someone. My student to say the least was not impressed my my display of mirth.

The other strange communist hero who's name i can't remember held a bomb to the bottom of a bridge with his hand to blow up a pill box on to.

Strange heros...

Weird firefox DownThemAll refuses to work for this lesson and only this lesson. Normal right click save as is fine though. Welcome to bizzaro land.

Nice Lesson though.

My addiction to computers insures that my Power Bill is realitivly high for China though still cheap. Living in Yunnan I can still feel slightly green because it's mostly hydro (no air pollution is good. Dead rivers... not so much.)
