To the fact that life can change by mutations, and some mutations can even benefit the bacteria? If this is considered a great proof that humans evolved from bacterias, there is much more faith needed to believe in evolution-theory than in God.

Darwin really has been misunderstood by Hitler. He is also misunderstood by people ourdays who claim that they do not believe in God but rather in Darwin. Interestingly, the chinese version of "The Origin of Species" censored Darwin himself by explaining in an extra comment in the text that he didn't mean God who put life on earth, but he meant "nature", although Darwin used "creator" in this context.
Darwins great scientific achivement was that he proofed that life can change. But until now there is no proof that life can change to the extend of having cats evolved into dogs or apes evolved into man. I can accept these as hyphoteses, but scientific facts are something different. 1+1=2, was a fact with the ancient greeks and will be a fact for all times.

June 18, 2010 at 6:56 AMin order to understand my 平等-argument in this context, it might help to understand the notorious history of the country where I was born. Hitler used Darwinism to explain why he thinks some human races are above others. He considered Jews as inferior and therefore saw himself justified to kill 6 million innocent people. The majority of the germans obviously subscribed to this and didn't go against him.
It would be only logical if the 古猿 story would be true that we have different semi-human ancestors. But tal pointed (with his beautiful finger) to the fact that all humankind has the same ancestors (as our genes reveal). This matches perfectly with the Bibles Genesis-record of common ancestors made by an intelligent creator. Common ancestors, 人家都平等 is the simple reasoning we find in the Bible.
