June 2, 2008 at 11:31 AMWe should take another stab at 意中人 - a phrase in modern usage should probably not be translated 'lady of one's heart'. It's not really clear to me how the 意 and 中 work together. Would 'soul mate' cover it?

June 2, 2008 at 10:27 AMQWs have always (afaik) been downloadable/listenable off of the old home or lessons page (forget which). I was never able to navigate to the lesson page for commenting though. Since the Channels page describes QW as premium content, I would not be surprised to see it get cut off again.

烤鱼 kăoyú barbecued fish (Chongqing style)
with grilled skewers of
华菜 huācài、 cauliflower
茄子 qiézĭ eggplant
土豆片 tŭdoùpiān potato slices, which were a bit too 脆 cuì (crisp)
年糕 niángāo - rice cake (the best! crispy on the outside, melt in your mouth inside.)
蘑菰 mógū - mushrooms
葱 cōng - onions
We asked for less 味经 wèijīng (msg) otherwise they can really drown the food in it. But the pit team really knew their stuff.

May 29, 2008 at 3:16 PMYeah, I spent a half an hour playing with it in IE and can't get much working...it doesn't feel like it has even had basic functionality verified, never mind boundary testing. I guess all we can do is wait for someone to give the alert that the site is OK to use again.
