I like the new excercises area; its nice to see you are continually improving!  Thanks!  BTW, I just got back from China (tried unsuccessfully to see the eclipse), I used Chinese almost exclusively - I owe it all to this website.

Pete,

I don't often comment, but I have to say this show is a great addition to C-Pod; I'm looking forward to more episodes.

I like the picture.  Hopefully we don't have a related video lesson.  :)

I'm only afraid of centipedes (蚰蜒 yóuyán)  that used to come out of the bathtub drain at my old house.

Hi Clay,

Thanks for the clarification on using "5" for the neutral tone for the fill in the blanks...  I always got that wrong in the past because I couldn't figure out how I should enter in the neutral tone.  Maybe you could have that posted as instructions on that page?

I was surprised to learn that there are rules against dating in college... very interesting.  I may have to rethink my goal of returning to college in China (just kidding!)

I take it then there are no such things as proms or homecoming dances in China... is that right?

Also, another way to say oyster is 牡蛎 (mulì)...  Are these different types of oysters?  One of my colleages said 蚵 (é) is smaller than  蚝 (háo).

For oysters, what is the difference between 蚵 (é) and 蚝 (háo) ?

From the expansion, is the translation below correct?

姚明
(How many shots did Yao Ming get in?)

Seems like translation should be "Did Yao Ming score his shot?"
