December 4, 2007 at 11:33 PMRonInDC--we don't fracture THEIR language, we fracture OUR own. THEIR language is THEIR own problem. And quite a well-developed wenti at that.

December 2, 2007 at 1:08 AMI've just listened to the dialogue (but not the discussion yet) because I wanted to hear what you were going to teach about Chinese Breakfast. I was hoping for a State of the Breakfast sort of analysis. How I could expect this of a newbie lesson, I'm puzzled. Must be my longing for xifan abd doujiang.

November 29, 2007 at 1:39 AMGuys--I have never seen snow like the stuff in the picture in China. It looks more like Sierra snow. Or maybe Montreal snow. Where was the photo shot?

April 17, 2007 at 1:00 AMMaybe I shouldn't try to get my old sfrrr logon back and henceforward be known as disgruntled. I don't like the new website design--there's far too much drilling down and getting to places I'm used to getting too is close to impossible. Plus, I can't get my profile name to change from user3529 to sfrrr (or anything else). I realize I've been gone for a while and that, for a while longer, my attendance will be intermittent, but I did just renew my premium account for another year so I'm definitely a devotee.

January 1, 2008 at 1:37 AMI can't wait to listen to this program.I think Chinese food and my grandmother's tales of one month in Shanghai during the Thirties kindled my interest in other things Chinese, such as calligraphy and language. Thanks.
