Hi guys,

Thanks very much for this lesson. You're so good for teaching us so usefull language! ;o) Why don't you make a series of "jianghua"? The chinese insults are really interesting and funny, most of the time very "visual". Just to complete our culture... As a candy after learning more serious lessons... It could be nice.

Good question Joeborn. I look forward to read the answer.

Just to check:

We say 我都工作四年了for emphasizing but is the following correct if you don't want to emphasize ? 我已经工作了四年了 or just 我工作了四年了 (2了= for + period of time, am I right?)

Thanks in advance for the answer and have a nice day!

Hi Raymondc,

Yep! Job title is important on a business card as well as the address. As a matter of 设计, my partner decided not to get the address of the company on it, just our names and contact numbers + name of the company, website and desciption of the activity. We meet our clients in their offices so we thought it was useless but we really often have questions about our offices' address and some people seem sceptical on the reality of our business. That's weird. We couldn't think about this kind of reactions since the idea was to avoid questions like "hu, great (company) name, but what are you doing?"

Here's for my experience.

I know this lesson is an old one, but is there someone who could explain me the use of 被 in the sentence "她说我应该被升职"?

Many thanks in advance.

I'm 100% agree with Chris. I now have so much vocab in my vocab section that i don't play with the flashcards anymore. I should take time to delete the vocab i know now but that mean "take time" and i do prefer spending it discovering new lessons and vocab. But that mean i don't consolidate my vocab any more.

Something else: the grammar section. It would be nice if, while discovering new words in the dialogue section for ex., a click could bring us to the grammar section. No need (in my opinion) to have a boring sections like any grammar book (nouns, verbs, questions...) but entries like the "HSK, a guide to the usage of HSK vocabulary" ed. Beijing Language and culture university press could be very usefull. Entries could be from english or chinese to:

- get the differences between the uses of 地 and 得,or 会,能, 不 and 没。。。 。。。

- get the different ways of expressing the aim, consequence, opposition, condition...

- the "directionnels" as we call them in french. Ex: 我过去找他 or 天黑下来了。。。 。。。

- where should we put the "了"

- how to express time... ...

I don't see this section as a classic grammar lesson, but just as a support, if we need to fix a rule, to go forward, to know more about the grammar use of a 汉字.

Good lesson!

In the dialogue, I don't understand the use of 在 in 你们老板?Souldn't be the one which means "again" (sorry, don't have chinese on this computer)?
