July 5, 2007 at 4:32 PMUmmm... Jenny was like in 1st grade then... doubt she could have helped you then. ;-) (I wonder when Chinese learn any of these words for a matter of fact... not in school and usually not their parents for sure)

July 5, 2007 at 3:36 PMSo, I go to the 'Net bar here in China with a friend to check some things I was needing for plane tickets I was getting...and wonderfully I had "Elementary Condoms" at the top of my inbox... He thought it was that junk mail we all hate, I said, after saying to myself CP does go offroad from the textbooks, no, not this time. So that makes me wonder, how many people's email about this lesson got sent to their junk mail folder?! Ha ha. Mine didn't... never put that word in my filter list I guess. But, should you do anything on enlargement products, uh, probably won't fly.... and I'd like to dare see you try! REALL LESSON REQUEST: BUT HEY, speaking of which, seriously, as a computer programmer that has to help Chinese friends all the time with their computers, such as understand why even my emails get filtered out (gotta stop putting "Cheap Pills" in the subject I guess) and how to find it. I would like a lesson on how to talk about Junk mail, Inbox, Outbox and common things you need to tell someone when working with Email... that I have a problem with because I have no clue what Chinese call it. And how about a lesson on all the words that apear in the subject of Chinese junk mail... (man must be hard, cuz you can't like change the spelling of a Chinese character we can farmacy) R1(#

June 22, 2007 at 9:38 AMExcept for an email from Jack, I haven't seen any replies (yet I did skim fast) about how to tell someone to move. 挪一挪 移一移 (借过 jie4 guo4 from Jack) and 让一下. When is which used? -R

June 22, 2007 at 9:31 AMAnd so what is it? Does the 西 in 西瓜 refer to the West, western China, western Asia, or what? Is there an actual answer to that? Where did the seeds originate from, even though they grow watermelon in China? But in China the water melons are more ball-shaped than America's oval shaped ones... so, what the history that I can waste some brain cells on? :P -R

June 21, 2007 at 8:31 AMFor the first time yesterday I tried cuttnig a watermelon in half and putting it in the freezer. Man it was good... so good I ate the whole thing... almost like ice cream... or maybe a 7-11 slurpy... so I have to agree with Jenny, I did feel like I weighed 4 pounds more! Ugh. How many caleries does an average round Chinese watermelon have anyway? -Rich
