All the downloaded content erasing itself the moment you are out of WiFi range is a known bug that has persisted across different versions of the iOS app. As far as I know nothing is currently being done about it. CPod is looking to hire an iOS developer. Customer support seems to have stopped answering queries about this as well. It has been suggested that one can just download content in iTunes, but unfortunately there have been a lot of claims about CPod's itunes feed not working properly either. I have an iPhone 4 also, but it only bricks my CPod content if I am out of both WiFi and cell phone range. Have you disabled data on your iPhone 4? Customer support frequently suggests deleting the app and re-installing, but I don't know of anyone doing this successfully to solve the problem, and customer service never answers my question about whether this would also permanently erase all of my content, as I assume it would. Sorry I can't be more encouraging. Lets hope the new iOS developer when on board will be able to fix this or replace the app with a better version that does not have this bug. A long time ago CPod had a different mobile app that actually worked in a stable fashion. Maybe they should just bring that back, as the "new and improved" version ;-)

mafanni,

did you get an answer to your question about how to delete the incorrect file from your app when CPod serves you the wrong one? Maybe CPod's customer support is on summer holiday. I usually get a reply of some sort when I contact them directly, but not recently.

The Skritter Lite applet on the Chinese Pod web site is free, but there is a paid version that I use, which gives me access to all the CPod lessons. I know they have a lot of users in China, though I am not one of them. Vera, do you know if the paid version of Skritter works better in China? Anyway, based on my experience outside China I would highly recommend Skritter, especially to any CPod users.

I have a similar question for CPod: in iOS when I have a corrupted file that failed to download properly how do I delete it and download again?

Also, I took a plane ride today, and once again none of my content was available with my iPhone in "airplane mode" I have written to CPod about this and posted about it, but the only solution offered is to delete the app and reinstall. I assume that means lose access to all my previously stored content, which is exactly the problem I am trying to solve, but I can't seem to get an answer from CPod about that either.

Maybe in English we would say "they won't spare his feelings" or "they won't spare him the embarrassment" (of their sharp-tongued rejection). Tal has an interesting point; I would not have thought that the women who are the object of 泡妞 would be concerned about letting the guy "keep face."

The construction “恨不给他面子” is an interesting one (both grammatically and culturally.)

PS: Thanks for the dictionary link. Apparently I have not been to the opera enough. Who knew that they were so colorful?

Except jokes are supposed to be funny. This one just serves to confuse other users and clutter up the boards, in my humble (but always correct) opinion. No offense fellow learners, I have learned a lot from you all. But this is one thing I don't need reinforced on CPod. "shafa" is silly. 沙发 很傻 。

很有意思。 不敢说男女的感情 是爱。 只说 喜欢的。 不过 妈妈说女儿的男人 “会爱喝冰的“
