June 19, 2013 at 3:24 AMMike,
In English you could either say "I study at the University" or "I am studying in the University" and in a certain context the meaning would be the same. So just as in this case you don't need "~ing" you need not do so in Chinese. Actually I would say you should not if you simply mean to say that you are a college student.
In Chinese I think your proposed sentence sounds very odd. Maybe if a high school student happened to be in the University library one day and was talking on his cell phone he might say that. (I am at the University and I am in the process of studying (for my test)) . But for an ongoing action (an enrolled college student) they should just say wo3 zai4 da4xue2 xue2xi2. 我在大学学习。

And I'm seldom sober
A handsome rover
From town to town"

June 19, 2013 at 3:03 AMGood grief, Charley Brown. I just assumed that schools were part of CPod's target market, and that teachers would appreciate knowing what the nature of the content was before throwing everything open for consumption by all ages. Now I must listen to this lesson to get all the salacious details. 嘿嘿。

June 17, 2013 at 4:12 AMI have this recurring fantasy that I will not see any more insinuations / accusations that CPod is pandering / soliciting / debasing / titillating prurient interests / committing acts of moral turpitude / fomenting spiritual pollution / corrupting the youth, or otherwise doing anything more than delivering a great educational service in a fun and creative way. Good grief! Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

June 17, 2013 at 3:54 AMThanks for sharing your experience. It seems that Chinesepod is currently without both an iOS programmer / Apple developer, and a customer support representative. I noticed that the previous customer support person has not responded to e-mail or posted anything on the site since late May. The Android developer, by contrast, has been very proactive and taken on some customer support functions. But I don't think CPod management is planning to drop iOS support. They are advertising for new employees. Your solution does not seem very elegant, but since the Chinese Pod mobile app, the iTunes feeds, and the web site all seem to be experiencing problems nowadays I don't really have anything better to offer as a "best" way to access the content. The content itself remains outstanding.

June 17, 2013 at 3:38 AMAre you sure "I've drunk a lot" is incorrect English? Isn't this the past perfect tense of "drink". If not, what is the past perfect for "drink". Or are you completely joking? I'm afraid some poor devil studying for TOEIC will see this and panic.
