The general term for martial arts is 武术。 wǔshù.

And I take it you were not billed anything for that transaction. It sounds plausible that Amazon may have discontinued in-app purchases, as suggested in the post by ka3er3ni2er3sen1. I will try to follow the method you outlined. I really like the concept of the premise of The Sixty Year Dream.

November 20, 2013 at 3:58 AMoh, never mind! I think I am confusing two separate books. The Secret Garden I bought in the Apple Store without a problem, it is The Sixty Year Dream that I tried to buy through the Kindle app on my iPad that I can't seem to get more than a sample for.

November 20, 2013 at 3:09 AMFollow up to the follow up: Now it looks like I do have the whole book. It must have downloaded in the background, or some magic happened. babardwan, do you have it in iBooks now too? In the Kindle App I still see only the sample.

November 20, 2013 at 2:59 AMFollowing up: Apple says they are going to refund the purchase price. No mention of how to actually obtain the book. They are treating it as an "unintentional purchase" although the response clearly seems to indicate that they know that is not exactly the case. Still not clear what happened, but maybe it does have to do with a change in the relationship between Amazon and Apple. Not sure what to do next.

November 19, 2013 at 11:02 PMI got a receipt from Apple that I paid for the book, so I reported it as a problem since I seem to have only gotten the sample. I don't mind buying direct from Amazon, but I don't want to pay twice!

November 23, 2013 at 3:08 PMTurns out things are not as complicated as I feared. I just searched the titles in Amazon on a PC while logged into my Amazon account. One click purchase and they were on their way to my iPad in the Kindle app there, literally within seconds. The Amazon documentation says they will show up "the next time you start the app" but I found I needed to press the "sync" button at the bottom of the "library" page within the app. Long plane ride coming up; looking forward to having a read.
