October 7, 2015 at 4:28 AMHere is what Fiona had to say on the topic earlier. It's outside the context of this thread but addresses the concerns.

September 27, 2015 at 3:38 AMDoes this mean that Chinese Pod has formally decided to stop answering users' questions related to the language found in the lessons via the discussion section for that lesson?

September 25, 2015 at 10:30 AMThanks, Gwilym, for the tips on viewing videos. I gave up on the current app a long time ago because of its erratic development trajectory and bugs. Now that you have a completely original one in development (if I understand correctly) I am looking forward to that. I must say that the video lesson format is very helpful. Even for videos like this one where there is not a lot "happening" it is useful to see the speakers gestures and the way their mouths move in producing words.

September 24, 2015 at 6:55 PMI found it confusing too. Normally you pick up your suitcase and THEN go to customs, but the lesson said “排队入关,然后还要去取行李 。 。 。“
The translated text rendered 入关 as " immigration" which makes sense in this context, but the vocab list indicates "customs" for this term.
I think loosely 入关 means to pass through a controlled point, and in usage it usually refers to customs (海关)but depending on the context might mean immigration, or customs & immigration.
In the Shanghai Pudong airport immigration is referred to as 边防检查 ( biānfángjiǎnchá ) which literally translates as border inspection. The airport's term for customs is 海关,as taught in the lesson.

September 24, 2015 at 6:28 PMIt seems the video format is incapable of being played in iTunes or on an iOS device. At least I have not been able to get it to work. I would write to CPod about it, but they have still not answered my last inquiry about why the lessons I am subscribed to are not showing up in my feed.

September 18, 2015 at 2:51 AMYou are welcome. We all make those kind of mistakes. I often use mdgb.net to look up words that I have written back into English to see if I have made typing errors.

听起来 在 6.39 她 说了 “ping sun dian" . 我相信没有这个字。
可是, 有另外一个字 可以用:
停损点 = 止损点

October 9, 2015 at 11:17 PMGreat Qing Wen. I don't quite understand why Fiona says at the end that discussion about this topic should take place in the forum. I thought the whole purpose of the forum was to provide a place for off-topic stuff that does not relate to a specific lesson. Shouldn't the comments that discuss the subject matter of this Qing Wen be posted here?
