You're right about the water radical and the grass radical. The part at the bottom right is a 寸 cun4 which means "hand."

你知不知道，原来你名字的尘字是三个鹿字。 大概是表示一群鹿跑步的时候会生产一些灰尘吧。 反正如今繁体字还有一个鹿字。

How you introduce your surname seems to be a matter of personal preference. Of course the most important thing is to make yourself understood.

But I can't help thinking that some people choose to mention someone famous with the same name as a way of basking in some reflected glory.

For example, you could say 朱德的朱 (he was one of the PRC's 开国元帅 kai1guo2yuan2shuai4, the 10 great generals who helped establish New China). Or you could say 朱元璋的朱. He was the hardcore former monk who started the Ming dynasty.

To some degree, people still see surnames as a common bond. When two strangers with the same last name meet they will sometimes laughingly say 五百年前同一家！

Sorry for the late reply, but here you go. 讲 is generally used for more formal speeches, ex:　领导说话，老师讲课　，etc.
