Really? well I drive 2h every day and I would say that at least once every week I see one major accident - and several minors - although I don't think they ever have anything to do with alcohol.

I would recommend (again, see http://chinesepod.com/community/conversations/post/5003) to be extremely careful using credit/debit cards in China.

Protections against phishing and other card duplication methods are weak or non existent for all the local cards. Every time you use your card you take the risk of having it copied and having your saving accounts wiped out.

Again, only use them with extreme caution!
( i got 12000 rmb stolen last month and still no news from the police :(

Unfortunately, living in China I can't access to Youtube - which is fine most of the time as instead we have Youku,Tudou and video.sina.com etc. -

that just gave me the right idea - i found calligraphy lessons from Baidu - try it out!

Hi ChinesePod,
it's completely unrelated, but it could figure in a news and feature show, so i'm asking here:
on the FAQ, if you go to the How can i create a Lesson Set, there's a picture on the right with a "my Archive" box, with a show called "the radical show -1"

Ｉ couldn't find the lesson anywhere on the site, but that sounds like a great idea (214 great lessons ideas) - Does anybody know if a podcast was ever released? Did Goulniky's phonetic maps in the "Characters points" group just kill that show in the bud?

I'd just really love a show on radicals~

I'm never sure about 听不见，and 听不到 either, Please correct me but first i think there are no differences in practical use, and if ever there was one

I would think ting1budao4 is when distance is involed. Imagine 2 people speaking across a street or something and one would speak too low, or noise would be too loud for the other to perfectly hear what the speaker said. (so the sound can't reach the other side of the road =>到 (dao4))

ting1bujian4 is more generic, when the message is not perfectly caught by the other speaker. (because they spoke too fast, speak in a too loud room, with a dammaged cell phone and so on)

But since they clearly overlap we hear them both all the time and I'm almost certain i got it wrong ^^' and that actually there aren't any differences.

Thank you for your kind words　(I wish my Japanese was even half as good as your English) and I'm really sorry you 'lost' a 日本同胞 ^_^'
I guess it's true that Chinesepod doesn't attract that many Japanese...but I suppose most of the Japanese studying Chinese are doing it directly from Japanese material (いい中国語のポッドキャストありますかな？チャンイェさんがいないとダメですよ！)

I will definitely try and check the bookstores in Ningbo. May I ask what Japanese<->Chinese dictionary(ies) do you use ?
