From my understanding, I think 韭菜is chives which looks like green grass and uses as an herb. And leek 韭葱 is a vegetable like a huge shallot with many layers of wide flat leaves that are white on the bottom and green on the top.
It is not a big deal but want to clarify the names.

Thanks for your explanation.
I think it makes sense although I always wonder. Maybe I should know since I am a Christian. But what is the purpose of putting a sign like this (FISH) at the back of the car? For protection or for promotion. Maybe putting a sign at the back of the car is a form of silent protest to promote or protect their beliefs.
Ha Ha, your post has provoked some thinking.

我打算十月份去重庆旅游，也许我要带多一点干粮。
我觉得Technology is neutral, it depends on how we take it or use it.
可怕的是，金钱的诱惑和推动力实在太大，连人的基本道德也给压到底层去了。
我想，每一个时代都有它要面对的困难。只是面对的困难有所不同而矣。
David and Jiaojie, 你们的发音很好，但是我担心我去重庆旅游的时候，听不懂本地人说的话。当然学习正确的发音是件好事。

April 5, 2011 at 6:29 AM没想到今天又是清明节，时间过得真快。又一次听清明节的课文，感到有点高兴，因为过去的一年，我学了很多中国的文化和社会的现象。
在我住的地方是没有这个节日的，所以悼念亲人的事就要自己记着。

January 15, 2011 at 4:07 AM听过课文后，真觉得在中国生活很累。什么都要送红包，不送就老是怕别人不全心全意给你办事，心里很不踏实。
在对话中，送者感觉到很无奈，收者好象受到侮辱，真的矛盾。

January 8, 2011 at 4:41 AM好像在中国生活，有钱有权就有势。 对平头百姓来说好像没甚麽保障。记得我小的时候也看过城管抓小贩，心里很同情和佩服那些为了养活一家而拚命工作的小贩。看见滥用权力的事情，又能做什麽？无奈！
