都 is used to emphasize that there's no exception to the situation. 我们每天都见面 means "we see each other everyday", no exception. You can leave it out but adding it highlights that there is no exception.

The antonym of 开放 is 保守/ bǎoshǒu, meaning conservative.

Be careful of what they give you though, Chinese pharmacists love to recommend you drugs from small and new pharmaceuticals because they get higher kickbacks. I once came across a pharmaceutical which also produces cigarettes! Stick to the international ones if you can.

Actually many Chinese who have travelled or lived abroad think 外国人都很文明,而且kind-hearted.

You can use "认为“ or "觉得" in this case.

1. 百货商店/bǎihuòshāngdiàn and 百货公司/bǎihuògōngsī both mean department stores. 百货商店 is used more in mainland China whereas 百货公司 is used more in Taiwan. But people can understand what you mean in both places.

2. You can use “yǒudiǎnguì" or tàiguìle instead. Adj. + 了一点 has a tone of conceding or complaining. It's often used with "but".
