May 3, 2007 at 5:01 AMJeff, 对X奖励 is a fixed collocation. You can use 对X所作的贡献 too。 所alone doesn't mean 'all'. 所有means 'all'. Putting 所in front of verb is a way to formalize the speech. It doesn't alter the meaning.

In other words, 带来好处/to benefit others or 得到好处/to benefit from.

May 3, 2007 at 4:49 AMPie is simply 派/pai4 in Chinese. 牛肉派/niu2 rou4 pai4 苹果派 /ping2 guo3 pai4 I've hardly seen any Turkish kebab in China. But Xinjiang restaurants serve a very similar version called 大饼卷肉/da4 bing3 juan3 rou4, literally meaning meat wrapped in big flat dough.

Re the use of 座,it's a measure word for objects that are 'rooted' on the ground, which can also contain or 'host' people . For example, architectural constructions (temples, churches, skyscrapers) and 'constructions' of mother nature, e.g. mountains.
