I am not at ChinesePod today. But I've talked to Shenyajin about your request. Hopefully, you can receive it in time. If not, we do sincerely apologize for the problem. And thank you for your understanding.

August 24, 2009 at 2:25 AMThere is a dinosaur theme park in 常州/Changzhou, a city a few hours’ drive from Shanghai. I am guessing it might be a bit tacky.

August 22, 2009 at 2:47 AMHi Poddies,
Notice the addition to today's Qing Wen? Yes, in the 'dialogue' section, all the sample sentences are listed with pinyin, translation and you can click to play. There is also PDF transcript. All Qing Wens will be in this format from now on. Enjoy!

Interesting development. I've been to quite a lot of places in China, Kunming seems to be an exception.

August 21, 2009 at 2:21 AMWhat a wholesome lesson! Hope all especially vegetarians like it. One side note, I heard that in Taiwan, 土豆/tu3 dou4 means peanuts (花生/hua1 sheng1 on the mainland), not potato. Any Poddies in Taiwan?

August 20, 2009 at 9:10 AM@milanromeo, 'What is the day today' is 今天是星期几?/jin1 tian1 shi4 xing1 qi1 ji3?/
星期/xing1 qi1/ means week. Monday to Sunday is 星期一 、星期二、星期三、星期四、星期五、星期六 and 星期天。

August 20, 2009 at 2:49 AMI notice that many non native speakers of English (myself included) tend to confuse the words 'day' and 'date' when asking what's the day/date today. It might partly be that the two words sound slightly similar, but we tend to say 'day' when we should say 'date' and vice versa.

Very glad to hear that the dinosaur lesson is creating some buzz in your house. I'd love to learn some dinosaur words in German from your son.
