April 29, 2014 at 3:50 AMI've actually been pretty disciplined about 后鼻音 for a while. But I think unless I overdo it, it's not obvious enough. I need to be more careful in the future. But for learners out there, I'd say that on the scale of pronunciation accuracy, tones, 平舌音 and 翘舌音 are more crucial. Messing those up can really cause problem in getting your meaning across. 前鼻音 and 后鼻音 are a bit more subtle. But it's really encouraging to see you pay attention to the issue.

April 29, 2014 at 3:42 AM后鼻音 doesn't come naturally for us Southerners in China. I've always wanted to have the Northerner's ability to discern which words are 后鼻音 and which are 前鼻音. They seem to have an innate ability to know.
