次 is the measure word for an occasion, be it a party or an event. In today's dialogue, it refers to this party.

Not to be judgmental or anything, but I've noticed that drivers with 皖牌照 (Anhui license plates) tend to be pretty unruly drivers.

Yihaodian has replaced the brick and mortar supermarket for me. The only exception is that I get veggie and meat from a physical store. The service and prices are great.

I've actually been pretty disciplined about 后鼻音 for a while. But I think unless I overdo it, it's not obvious enough. I need to be more careful in the future. But for learners out there, I'd say that on the scale of pronunciation accuracy, tones, 平舌音 and 翘舌音 are more crucial. Messing those up can really cause problem in getting your meaning across. 前鼻音 and 后鼻音 are a bit more subtle. But it's really encouraging to see you pay attention to the issue.

后鼻音 doesn't come naturally for us Southerners in China. I've always wanted to have the Northerner's ability to discern which words are 后鼻音 and which are 前鼻音. They seem to have an innate ability to know.
