December 20, 2007 at 4:46 PM白手,你没错对网球很无聊。Bái shǒu, nǐ méi cuò duì wǎng qiú hěn wú liáo. But that only shows that even a boring topic can be turned into a good lesson :-)

December 15, 2007 at 4:58 PM请给我一半束红色和一半束白色华。Sounds a bit better I think, but I don´t know if it´s correct...

December 11, 2007 at 4:12 PM@zohar8353 The lessons are designed to be individual so you can pick the lessons you are interrested in without the need of having studied that ones wich came out before it. And everyone has own reasons to study and not everyone likes this kind of "you have to do this" tests. But for those who want to absolve a test in order to find out wich level he/she reached, there is already a test here: http://chinesepod.com/level

November 26, 2007 at 6:52 PMI guess it would work out everywhere, but the Ayis would be more expensive and that is the weak point I see in this business idea. ;-)

November 24, 2007 at 12:10 AMYey, big shout out to cpod and - oh, well I´m not on the show... ;-) I realy like the idea to rap in chinese, that sure helps to improve the tones (it ALWAYS impresses me to hear the music of chinese =) ) :-) regarding flashcards, I have this idea to print out simplified characters in a big font and put it under Self-adhesive film, so that I get a re-writeable template, but I didn´t test it ´till now.

December 21, 2007 at 2:48 PMThe flame test basically is used to see how a thing burns down, how it smells etc. ; so you can find out how much heat it takes (may be important if you don´t know if your shirt can be washed with 60C°), wether it melts or turns to ashes and from all this infos you can guess the material (e.g. leather does not melt but fake leather does ;-) ). Sounds weard but that´s how it is ;-)
