The translation is "Everyone knows about his accomplishments." I don't quite understand how the original sentence corresponds to the translation. Should the 那儿 (there) be 哪儿 (everywhere)? As in, "His accomplishments are on display everywhere," or something like that? Or have I just misunderstood the syntax here?

登记 比较像 log in (what you do each time you use the service)

注册 比较像 register (what you do once, when you first sign up)

Thanks!

I realized when I read your post, masterkrang, that I had unconsciously been tricked by the homophone "feng" despite the different character, and despite John and Jenny making it clear in their discussion that this was more heavy-duty than a windbreaker.

For 冲锋衣:How about parka?

Is "windbreaker" an accurate translation for 冲锋衣?I've always used that word for light, wind-resistant jackets.

And is 护目镜 also the word for swim goggles?

Who could've guessed those two were going to surprise attack us like this."

"Who could've guessed they were going to surprise attack us like this, during these two days"?

Nor is it common in the US (<10% of births is what I've heard), but I wonder if it's even less so in China.

Thanks for the clarification, ptpete.

Clarification question: does 顺产,which the glossary translates "natural childbirth," mean vaginal delivery without anesthetic (which is what American midwives call "natural"), or can it include vaginal delivery with an epidural?

And what about 自己产, used in the dialogue?

(apologies for the 不好听 English phrase there)
