February 16, 2009 at 1:21 PMUpdate: Just "downgraded" to Firefox 2.0.0.20 on my Mac PowerBook G4. The problem persists.
So we can rule out v. 3.0 being the problem.
I also don't think it's my Mac, because the new features work in Safari and Netscape. So I'm at a loss.
Sorry for taking up so much space on this lesson. I'd send an email but I think it's good to post in the community in case others have similar problems and/or know a solution. If I post again, I'll create a new thread.
FINAL UPDATE : FIXED!
Many thanks to a suggestion from fellow poddie lotsofwordsandnospaces, who suggested I disable some Firefox Add-ons.
Ironically, after disabling the old "Cpod traditional support" plug-in, I now have traditional support!

February 16, 2009 at 11:40 AMJust checked on my iMac, Mac OSX 10.4.11. Everything is good on this machine. The only differences are:
1. The iMac in Intel-based, which I doubt has anything to do with it.
2. The version of Firefox I'm using on the iMac is 2.0.0.17.
I'm assuming the issue is with using Firefox 3.0.6 and a Mac. Just a guess.
I'll download Firefox 2.0 for my PowerBook to see if that fixes things.
I do almost all my internet browsing on my PB, as my iMac is used mostly for photography. So I'm hoping we can find a solution. Anyone else having a similar problem?

This occurs in both the Dialogue and Expansion tabs. The Vocab. tab is fine. Even when I revert back to "Simplified," I have the same problem.
I emptied my cache and restarted Firefox (v. 3.0.6). I'm on a Mac PowerBook G4, OSX 10.4.11.
Is there somewhere on the Uservoice site we can post issues?

Bababardwan, you can search for users by the search box, then pull-down menu to "Community". I just did a search for "baba" here, with your avatar in bright lights and placing 2nd.

送 sòng can mean to deliver or give something to someone (a present or just about anything), and can also mean to send someone off.
可以送吗？
kěyǐ sòng ma?
Can you deliver?

给 gěi is more general, and can be used to give just about anything.
给你钱。
gěi nǐ qián.
Here's your money.

送给 sònggěi is more specific, in the sense of giving a gift.
他送给我一大盒巧克力。
tā sònggěi wǒ yī dà hé qiǎokèlì.
He gave me a big box of chocolates.

It's funny, I originally had the 一个 in there, but then I went back through other lessons and it was always 我是中国人 and 我是日本人 etc., so I took it out. But it does seem better with the 一个 in this structure.
