March 6, 2013 at 11:21 AMout of curiosity, I just put in both of the words into google and baidu images. For 行李舱 , it should quite a few overhead compartments on planes. For 行李架 , it mostly just showed racks that are attached to the roofs of cars.
That being said, I also suspect that both of these words are used for the overhead compartments on planes. I'm not sure, but that's alright

March 6, 2013 at 9:16 AMif a "luggage rack" is different than a "luggage compartment", then I don't know what a luggage rack is, because I've only seen those things above where people sit on a plane. They have doors that open and go towards the ceiling of the plane. If a luggage rack is different than this, then I've never seen a luggage rack on a plane

March 6, 2013 at 2:36 AMQuestion:
What's the difference between 行李舱 (xíng lǐ cāng) and 行李架 (xínglǐjià) ? Do they have the exact same meaning and usage ?

March 4, 2013 at 3:39 PMIn the line-by-line dialogue, in which each sentence is read by the same person, there is a line I'm confused about.
The line is : 天啊,一堆内脏啊,太惊悚了。
It sounds like 一堆 is being read as yí duì , instead of yì duī , which is a huge difference , especially because yí duì sounds like “一对” 。
Am I hearing it right ?

March 4, 2013 at 4:29 AMhow do we say "booger" ? I'm not talking about snot or a runny nose, but proper boogers. Also how do we say "He's picking his boogers" ?
