请问一下。。 有两个语法的问题。

what role does 在 play gramatically in this sentence?  In my rough Chinese I would have made the sentence leaving out 在!  (which is obviously incorrect.） I can't go on inflicting my incorrect grammar on people :)

第二。。 Re: 我们再点的再

This useage I am familiar with .. 再点 .. BUT I could not explain it to anyone else.  What does 再 actually mean in this sentence?  I have assumed something like 再说一遍的再。。 but this would suggest an action being repeated - why is it used this way when the action is not being repeated?

@bababardwan - I am indebted to you; the FJ just makes me feel proud. My PARENTS actually drove a second hand FJ before it was fashionable to modify them - I used to sleep up behind the back seat on long trips.  Sister on the back seat, older brother on the floor.

I only just caught up with this and must say I'm surprised by all heat generated!  (And I did catch a couple of the 请问 before Amber departed.) I thought it hit about the same notes as the old Qing Wen.

I like CP because I always learn something (or re-learn something) - here the 快点好起来 when someone is sick..

I have noticed that where we in the West apologise (say being late for an appointment) by saying 'sorry' Chinese people sometimes say 不好意思 ..

Also, after an 'even-handed' transaction instead of saying 'thank you' Chinese people in my experience just say '好‘。

In Australia the correct pronunciation is still 'forrid'! But in other respects we are very advanced...

@ judy76 - why on earth do you not want to know about vivisection?:)

My memory of school zoology class includes many hours of disection - but we always worked on dead animals.  Frogs, a shark (one for each student) and a sheep's head （special subject the eye.）  I am not convinced that there is any scientific value at all in vivisection. 

@Jenny - I wonder if the trend to watching the teacher rather than doing it yourself is more about the cost of teaching - certainly there is no educational benefit.

Once again enjoyed the poem - keep them coming!

This one takes me to a farm near Hangzhou where some famers are very comfortable - the farmer sits all day playing cards, nibbling pumpkin seeds and chatting with friends (renting excess land to keep the cash flow). The view from an upper window is to soft blue-green rolling hills planted in tea.

The 斜的青山郭外斜 reminds me of a Chinese T-shirt our daughter saw once which said (weirdly) in English: juicy bunny slope (she translated it as 汁兔倾斜). Do you mean the poet changed the pronunciation of xie2 to xia2 - or was it pronounced that way in the old days?
