I couldn't see it here in Oz either,so I don't think it's just a GFW issue...or is it?

John explained that in the podcast of this lesson:

....I can find the time if I get the chance and you don't wanna listen to it,but it was a good lesson I can recommend.

祝大家圣帕特里克节快乐【特别是肯】

我还带绿色的衣服

我觉得了不起一个故事就让十多亿人几百年以后不敢带绿帽子

其实,大概五亿人

actually mate I'd have to agree with xiao_liang's explanation. "Guy" specifically refers to males. It can definitely be used in a unisex way as you say but only in certain contexts, like "hi guys"...pretty much when addressing a group of people.I've even seen it used when addressing a group of women only...but this is a very casual usage. However,if one were to say, " I saw this guy enter the bank" ,there's no two ways about it...it's referring to a male.I dunno what goes on down in Sydney though.

I got the point about Chinese liking numbers in their passwords. Some sites require passwords that are not only alphanumeric but contain capitals and symbols as well.So I'm wondering about the use of 多少 [how many].Obviously this is usually used when referring to numbers.Would it also be appropriate to use if asking about an alphanumeric password,or even a password purely containing letters? If not ,is it a fair assumption that it's always going to be a numeric password in such a situation?

thanks mate.It kinda sounded familiar but I thought it was just reminding me of other German words that have made it into English and I just couldn't place it [though it's a classic type of word to have made it in].If it's common in the UK and internet then it must just be my ignorance.
