ha, we posted at almost exactly the same time with the same thought. Of course there are plenty of other nomadic lifestyles in other cultures historically, just calls to mind Australian culture for me, that's all.

haha, very good. Not sure if I'm slightly surprised at this. For me, a walk about is a very Australian term, referring to the nomadic habits of our Aborigines in the traditional lifestyle. Is this a common term elsewhere? I guess they are two simple terms that don't necessarily convey all that the term implies here.

" somehow "whispernet" scared me"

hehe, oh sorry mate, I shouldn't have even whispered that then. Glad to hear it didn't end up blocking a good end result for you. Yeah, it's like magic when it just turns up on your devices.

Actually, I am having a problem. I have them on my iphone and ipad kindle apps, but the Chinese dictionaries are not showing up [even going on more , cogwheel, dictionary] on my desktop kindle app. What am I missing ?

Hey RJ, thanks for alerting me to this and sending me back for another look. I looked into this like a couple of years ago and at the same time was looking into ibooks and at the time I remember thinking the dictionary options were very limited. You are right, they are there, which is handy. You can also buy edictionaries in the kindle store, but I'm not sure if they can all then be added to the dictionary rollover list or not. I have a couple in my list that I think I previously downloaded and seem to work but then I've just tried some others that I don't seem to add [maybe because I've just got the samples only of these latest ones]. Anyone know about adding dictionaries in kindle? I'm not talking about the ones that show up in the list of options already and all you have to do is hit the download option on them which is easy. I'm talking about ones like Japanese that don't show up in the list.
