May 18, 2016 at 11:16 PMin the expansion sentence "这道菜怎么做" the character 道 is explained as a measure word for questions. I have not come across this particular measure word before or its use. Could you please explain when and how to use it.

February 1, 2016 at 11:32 PMHi Gwilym, I keep searching to see if I have missed some crucial information here - but - in the grammar section, I understood with these 是 sentences you need the 的 as well. There are only two sentences that have this. I would appreciate some feedback.

September 28, 2015 at 10:46 PMTwo questions Gwilym, In the expansion sentences - I keep looking at the first one 这个排队 得好长....... Because in this case 排队 is a noun, not a verb. So why the 得 after. Am I missing something? And then - in the last group, 别因为人家穷....... why the 别. Surely it should be in the next phrase.

June 8, 2016 at 10:43 PMHi Gwilym, with the last sentence in the grammar section the mandarin does not match up with the translation - 过了这个村就没这个店了。this is your last chance to get this great deal. 村 is translated as "village". Is there another meaning?
