Hi guys! Where can I lobby for an expanded grammar tab in Advanced lessons. I think there is roomfor development in the Upper Intermediate grammar function also. It would be a big help.

Can we have a grammar tab for Advanced lessons too? And Media?

I just noticed the Grammar tab. Thumbs up! When did this start? Good development as I have felt this was a missing piece of the puzzle.

Like the natural format, dont like the lack of structured learning. Might as well just listen to the radio.

Just some more feedback - this was not a lesson! More of a pep-talk about if you want to improve, move to China. CPOD has to get back to teaching, its sort of morphed into a podcast chat with some supporting vocab tools. I would encourage getting away from the personalities and talk show format and getting back into teaching mode.

yabla.com is pretty cool too. The format of CPOD has not changed much in years. While it is great (and Ive been subscribing for years) its in danger of being leap-frogged by competitors.

I think CPOD is good for listening practice but the learning process needs to be supplemented by grammar / structure support that I find I need to look outside of CPOD to find.

I think its one of those topics that does not lend itself to language learning. Its too fantastical to know if you are actually understanding the language or not. 西游记was actually the first book I read in Chinese, but what a bad pick it was. It was like 'what the hell, he is riding a cloud??!?'. The next book was about corporate finance, ok boring, but hey - understandable. For language learners my experience is stick to works that are written in a straight forward manner: newspapers are ok (not magazines) and non-fiction books.

Is it true that in the case of inter-族 marriages, the child(ren) of such marriages get to chose which official 族 they are?
