Both of them means to build a snowman, except 堆duī the verb means to stack or pile up, and 做zuò means to make.

Hi,

I understand that when learning Chinese for most learners, pronunciation is often their first concern. And it is because of this learning purpose, we have two hosts who is a Mandarin native speaker and a foreign learner respectively. For us, it is relatively difficult to understand what pronunciation problems our viewers have when learning some certain words or characters. An authentic foreigner who is also in the progress of learning Chinese can help not only us but also the learners to understand more about either their tones or their pronunciations are correct or not. While both of us saying the same sentence, you can simply tell the difference from the tones, and that is what we want you to notice. By making a conversation between a native speaker and a foreign learner, it is rather easier to understand what possible responses and incorrect pronunciations are, and is also what our viewers might encounter in their daily lives. I do understand that you need more authentic Chinese words spoken by our native Chinese speaker. Though this is a pre-intermediate lesson which contains more translations and explanations in English, I will, in our future videos, increase the amount of speaking Mandarin words, and focussing more on the accuracy of our pronunciations. Thank you so much for the feedback.

Josh
