The dictionary says both 冰淇淋 and 冰激凌 are correct.

I'm not sure how any of those definitions come close to 一定要. Perhaps you mean another character??

April 5, 2013 at 5:47 AMActually I'm hearing 2nd tone. At least its much closer to 2nd than to 3rd. The main comment I would make Keth, is that you seem to be making such an effort to stress the tones that your sentences are not flowing with a natural rhythm. Personally, I would get the rhythm going first, then worry about the tones.
