I think what the fish is saying is how about we switch the bait to carrots and I fry and eat you instead of the other way around, but I fail to see how this rises to the level of a "joke". And maybe I missed the whole point but in my experience with Chinese jokes, if you think nothing is there its probably because nothing is there. :-)

In English this is a small fishing net. A fish net, landing net, pier net, boat net, wading net or dip net. Take your pick. In Chinese fish net is 渔网 yú wǎng. Not sure if there are any other special names for a small hand net like this in Chinese.

June 16, 2010 at 6:01 PMOrdering at McDonald's is about the only thing I can actually do in Chinese, and I am always thrilled when they understand me. I give it to them like its supposed to be that way and they respond like its normal as well. Maybe its because I look so Chinese. :-)
