March 13, 2011 at 1:38 PMReal American Coffee? Great Commercial Luke. Must be Taiwanese (sub titles are traditional.) Sounds so familiar, but so hard to catch everything. Very humbling. Interesting how even the Chinese must need help with homonyms and language that is not used every day, hence the subtitles on a couple sentences where there might be some confusion.
They do this a lot, so context often must not be enough.
I am assuming this guy is supposed to be an American, or an American born in China. He certainly doesn't look Chinese, but speaks very well. Here is my attempt at a transcript, still unsure of a couple things, so help is welcome.
CBA Guy: 嗨，请问哪里有道地的美式咖啡？
Elevator people: 没喝光
CBA: 请问哪里有道地的美式咖啡？
Bike Rider: 没喝光
CBA’s Sign: 请问哪里有道地的美式咖啡？
Shop Guy: 没喝光
McDonald’s Girl: 道地的美式咖啡吗？最对有啊！
CBA: Oh yes!
