I noticed that the audio review still says 'lamb leg', is this entirely wrong? Does this mean that the term would never be used for lamb, or is it simply more common to use this term to indicate pork?

Living in China does help. Thanks for the tip. In recent months, my comprehension has improved, but it lags behind my speaking. This is especially true if I am in an area where they speak with an accent. Last month, I visited DongBei, and had difficulties. They could understand my questions, but I couldn't understand their answers.

In order of expertise, I would say that, from best to worst, I can;

read and write hanzi (if I am using a computer or cellphone that has pinyin converting ability)

speak putanghua

listen to the response and understand

and worst is handwriting Chinese and reading handwritten Chinese.

I was looking at the vocabulary list and I saw the word 可是. Previously, I learned that this word means 'but', but here it means 'really'. Now I haven't had a chance to listen to this lesson, and maybe in the podcast, there is an explanation. Could someone explain this in the discussion thread, I may not get a chance to listen to the podcast anytime soon. Thanks.
