September 15, 2014 at 7:22 PMMy impression of 解释 is that it usually involves a detailed explanation, whereas in this instance, 说明 could simply be just labelling the attachment, or saying in the email "I've attached a copy of the chart." 解释, I believe, would involve explaining the meaning of whatever is in the attachment, not just indicating what the attachment is.

September 20, 2014 at 5:41 PMOh thank you for this. I have been trying to figure out how to differentiate between 责备, 责怪 and 指责 for some time now. Some of the other words were new to me.
埋怨 appears to be interchangeable with both 怪 and 抱怨. Would you say that's accurate? Are there any other differences?
