As for "shénmeyàng de," it means "what kind of." Often when you see a trailing "de" like that, it's because there's a noun that's been omitted. In this case, the omission is the word for "hairstyle." So "shénmeyàng de" stands in for "what kind of (hairstyle)."

October 23, 2013 at 12:55 AMSome escalators are arranged in China so that you can't quickly go up or down; you have to take a little "tour" through each floor in order to find the next escalator and continue your ascent or descent. Also very annoying!

November 18, 2013 at 6:19 AMCool! Even if Level 1 is a little easy for you, it should still be enjoyable. We worked hard to make the stories of a high enough quality that they're entertaining even if they're not particularly challenging.
