Cool! Even if Level 1 is a little easy for you, it should still be enjoyable. We worked hard to make the stories of a high enough quality that they're entertaining even if they're not particularly challenging.

Doodle,

All books will be released on the iBook platform, but we have to abide by Apple's famous extended content review process. They're coming!

I'm curious... why does The 60 Year Dream appeal to you the most?

I think I find this form of Chinese "relaxation" painful about 90% of the time, but that other 10% is quite nice!

I very much enjoyed my first visit to the Hall of the Arhats at 灵隐寺.

Really? I've never encountered it in the U.S. (or Japan, or Thailand, or Mexico...). But I'm not exactly a mall tourist either. :)

"Best practices"?! Yikes.

Good answer, southernsteve! You're right about "xǐhuan de lǐfàshī."

As for "shénmeyàng de," it means "what kind of." Often when you see a trailing "de" like that, it's because there's a noun that's been omitted. In this case, the omission is the word for "hairstyle." So "shénmeyàng de" stands in for "what kind of (hairstyle)."

Some escalators are arranged in China so that you can't quickly go up or down; you have to take a little "tour" through each floor in order to find the next escalator and continue your ascent or descent. Also very annoying!
